Policy Innovation

AmTech's work in the policy arena is exemplified by these various efforts:

NASA's Joint Sponsored Research Agreement (JSRA)
AmTech's legal and policy research and advocacy resulted in NASA's adoption of groundbreaking policies favoring R&D partnerships with industry. NASA relied on AmTech to architect the JSRA, a non-traditional type of legal partnership agreement that permits government and industry to negotiate terms and conditions and operate outside the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs).

Technology Reinvestment Program (TRP)
AmTech was asked by the Department of Commerce to help shape policies that were embodied in the TRP program, a federal government-industry partnership mechanism to support innovative research and development.

FAA Policies & Procedures for UAV Access to the National Airspace
AmTech acts as the Collaboration Facilitator for this government-industry partnership devoted to developing policies and procedures for routine UAV flight in the U.S. National Airspace Systems. AmTech's use of the Dialog Mapping tool and facilitation methodology is credited with having a major impact on the ability of the policy team to break through conceptual impasses and harmonize views on complex issues.
